Pirate Eye patches are the simplest thing to make for your pirate party
The pirate party planner contains 2 different eye patches you can print our in 2 different sizes depending on your pirate party guests, but you can also make your own pirate eye patches quickly and easily.
The key to a good pirate patch is to make it slightly large than the eye and also to reinforce your paper or cardboard so that the string or elestic you are using to attach the eye patch to the pirate, does not pull through the holes you have made
We have found that masking tape or duct tape added to the back of your pirate eye patch works a treat to ensure the eleastic does not pull though the holes – we made them with an ordinary paper punch.

Materials you need to make a kids pirate eye patches our template:
Heavy card stock
Scissors – My First Scissors
Duct Tape or masking tape
Punch
Elastic
Instructions to make a kids pirate eye patches from the template:
Print out the templates with the patches you want to make
Roughly cut out each patch
Tape two to 3 layers of masking tape or a layer of duct tape onto the back of each patch
Cut out the patch with the tape at the back
Use a punch to punch a hole either side of the eye patch
Thread the elastic through the holes and tie – measure an example head of your guests to get the right length of elastic you need
