This template contains 12 bible story cards, two for each day of creation – excluding the day of rest.

The reason there are 12 cards and not six is that God created the world in six pairs – Day 1 he created day and night, on day 2 he created the heavens above and waters below, on day 3 he created the land and the sea, on day four, the sun and the moon, on day five birds and fish and on day 6 animals and man.  So we decided to make a card for each element created. The cards can be printed on paper or onto heavier card stock and are fun for games which help to reinforce the story of creation. We also suggest you print out two copies of the cards at least. That will give you a deck of 24 cards to play the fun creation card games with.

For younger children, the cards can be paired with the same card i.e. the sun with the sun, land with the land, etc. For older children to make the game more challenging, let them pair the sun with the moon, land with the sea, man with animals, etc. Here are some of the func ard games you can play with the creation cards:

 Creation bible story card Snap

For Snap print out the cards 4 times (You will have 48 cards. Deal the cards evenly to each player. Allow each player to take a turn and lay down a card. If the card being laid down is the same as the card on the table then the first person to yells snap gets the pile of cards. The winner is the player at the end with the most cards or all of the cards.

For older kids – instead of snap being yelled for the same card – snap must be yelled for the when the ‘creation pair is found”

Creation Bible Story Go Fish

Shuffle the cards and lay them face down in a pile.  Deal each player the same number of cards. Each player gets a turn to ask one of the other players if they have a particular card. If they have the card, they hand it over and the player who asked gets one set which he lays on the table. The player with the most number of sets at the end of the game wins.

Find the Creation card game

Place the cards face down in neat rows. Allow each player to turn over two cards. If the cards match the player gets to keep the set. If not then it’s the next players turn. The player who ahs the most sets of cards at the end of the game wins.
